Pharmacology

  • Fixed-dose combination of Amlodipine and Atenolol
  • Dihydropyridine calcium antagonist
  • Peripheral vasodilator

Dosage and administration

Interaction

  • Disopyramide - reduction in clearance
  • Ampicillin - potential reduction in Atenolol levels
  • Oral antidiabetics and insulin - potential decrease in tissue sensitivity to insulin

  • Hypersensitivity to either component

  • Second and higher degrees of heart block
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Hypotension
