Indications

Composition
- Sodium Chloride 1.30 gm
- Potassium Chloride 0.75 gm
- Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate 1.45 gm
- Glucose Anhydrous 6.75 gm
Pharmacology
- Treatment or prevention of dehydration from diarrhea
- Treatment of dehydration from any etiology
- Prevention of acidosis due to electrolyte imbalance
Dosage
- Equivalent to patients' fluid requirement
- Dosage for children less than 2 years
- Dosage for children 2 to 10 years
- Dosage for adults and children above 10 years
Administration
- Disperse sachet contents in 500 mL of pure drinking water
- Do not mix with hot water
- Discard unused solution after 12 hours

- Supplementation with parenteral fluids may be needed in severe diarrhea or critical fluid losses
