Indications

Composition
- Sodium Chloride BP 1.30 gm
- Potassium Chloride BP 0.75 gm
- Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate BP 1.45 gm
- Glucose Anhydrous BP 6.75 gm
Pharmacology
- Oral rehydration salt preparation
- Treatment and prevention of dehydration from diarrhea of any etiology
- Prevention of acidosis due to electrolyte imbalance
Dosage
- Equivalent to patients' fluid requirement for maintenance and replenishment of losses
- Specific dosages for children and adults
Administration
- Dispersal in 500 mL of pure drinking water
- No mixing with hot water
- Discard unused solution after 12 hours

- No known drug interactions
Precautions & Warnings
- Supplementation with parenteral fluids for depressed renal function
- Critical fluid losses may require parenteral supplementation
