Contraindications

AdministrationInstructions

  • Swallow whole one hour before a meal (tablet or capsule)
  • Administer with water (oral suspension)
  • Prepare solution with 0.9% Sodium Chloride for IV injection
  • Administer IV injection over at least 3 minutes

Interaction

  • Metabolized by CYP2C19 and CYP3A4 enzymes
  • Unlikely to inhibit CYPs 1A2, 2A6, 2C9, 2D6, 2E1 and 3A4
  • Potential interference with CYP2C19 substrate drugs
  • Possible alteration of drug absorption due to gastric pH interference
  • Plasma level increases in combination therapy with clarithromycin
